The Environmental Sustainability category aims to promote and teach environmentally friendly practices and raise awareness to various audiences. SIFE launched this category in Fall 2008 and through eco-friendly projects, SIFE continues to impact lives in a positive way.
Green Up Your Dorm
This exciting contest will be focused on creating sustainable living environments for college students. Students will nominate friends, or even themselves, who will then submit a 2-minute video on how they are living in a less than eco-friendly setting. One of the top 5 most viewed videos on YouTube will have the chance to win a free “green” room makeover.

Environmental Sustainability Conference
The purpose of the Environmental Sustainability Conference is to educate our business community, OC residents, and the emerging generation of leaders about the effects their choices have on the health of the environment. Last year, this extremely successful event impacted over 200 attendees through dynamic keynote speakers, phenomenal exhibitors and inspiring breakout speakers who concentrated on environmental innovation and creativity.
This year, the SIFE team desires to impact even more people in the community, hoping to create a more sustainable future.
